Make a difference – let’s work together to stop child abuse.

Other agencies and community organisations that offer support and help:
  • Citizens Advice Bureaux for just about everything: Phone 0800 FOR CAB (0800 367 222) Citizens Advice Bureaux are a good place to start if you need help. They offer free confidential advice and can put you in touch with other support services in your area.
  • Barnardos for family counselling and grief counselling: Phone 0800 4 PARENT (0800 472 7368).
  • Barnardos for childcare: Phone 0800 222 345.
  • CAPS for parent support – in regional centres around New Zealand – see your local phone book.
  • Commissioner for Children for child wellbeing: Phone 04 471 1410.
  • Work and Income for benefits, allowances, childcare subsidies: Phone 0800 559 009.
  • Plunket 24-hour support for anything to do with parenting and children under five years: Phone 0800 933 922.
  • Relationship Services for family or relationship problems: Phone 0800 RELATE (0800 735 283).
