‘0508 CARERS’ number goes live

A new hotline for Child, Youth and Family caregivers is making support and advice available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. While frontline social workers remain the main point of contact for caregivers, this is an extra service that recognises that caregiving is a 24-hour a day job.

Ray Smith, Deputy Chief Executive, Child, Youth and Family says “our aim is to extend the support network for caregivers, and make access to Child, youth and Family as quick and easy as possible”.

The number for caregivers to remember is 0508 CARERS or 0508 227 377.
