We need a Caregiver Liaison Social Worker to join the Caregiver team based at the Counties Manukau Service Centre. An NZQA certified degree in Social Work is preferred with the minimum requirement being a Level B or Level 6 Social Work qualification on the NZQA framework.   

The roles of the position include:

• Assessment of caregivers and placements with whanau
• Supporting both caregivers and clients
• Assisting in the recruitment of caregivers
• Maintaining effective records and reports
• Providing training and coaching to both caregivers and social workers
• Promoting Caregiver Services policy and procedures
• Assisting social workers in placement decisions

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

• excellent interpersonal skills
• excellent written and oral communication skills
• an ability to work cross culturally
• good computer skills
• hold a current full drivers licence
