Description:

The Site Manager’s primary objectives is to provide leadership and manage the delivery of high quality, proactive care and protection and youth justice services to children, young people and families who need our services.  This includes collaborating with Service Development and Quality Assurance groups to ensure service delivery and practice are enhanced and risks monitored, assessed and managed effectively, while reporting to the Lower North Island Operations Manager.

The Site Manager is responsible for the management of the site’s financial, staffing and asset resources and monitoring performance against budget allocations.  She/he will implement and maintain protocols, processes and systems to enable full and effective delivery of services from the site.  This includes utilising support services and resources from the site’s Service Centre.  Close communication and collaboration with the Service Centre Operations Manager is critical. 

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Proven successful experience in managing and achieving excellence in service delivery operations within a social work service or comparable organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, strengthen and maintain intersectoral collaboration and stakeholder relationships within service delivery contexts.
  • Effective verbal and written interpersonal skills with a positive approach to leading change.
  • Proven practical experience in process planning in both systems and people management.
  • General management experience in business planning, financial management, resource allocation and performance monitoring within complex.
  • A sound knowledge of relevant legislation would be advantageous.  A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable.
