Description
We have developed an innovative service model within Residential Services, and as part of this exciting change have a newly created position of Team Leader Operations.
This position is pivotal in ensuring our new outcome focussed approach is effectively managed at a ‘grass roots' level with our young people and ensures the smooth running of the Residence including risk management, maintenance of a safe environment across the site and leading our dedicated care team comprising of residential social workers and residential youth workers.
Child, Youth and Family operate three youth justice residences and four care and protection residences across New Zealand. Our residences operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week providing both care and protection and youth justice programmes for children and young people aged 8 to 17 years.
Both our youth justice and care and protection residences are strongly focused on achieving positive change in young people through education, skill development, vocational and employment programmes and therapeutic interventions, all with the goal of positive integration back into the community.
Working in a residential environment is both challenging and rewarding. To be successful in this role, we're looking for a person who has sound influencing and negotiation skills, an ability to think on their feet, experience at a team leader level within operations, experience in the development, preparation and monitoring of service delivery performance measures and a passion for wanting to make a difference in the lives of young people.
