We currently have vacancies for full time residential youth workers at Youth Justice North residence, a Child, Youth and Family placement facility for young offenders, located in Manurewa.

As a Youth Worker you will have responsibility for supervision and monitoring of young people, providing a range of programmes and recreational activities for residents.

You will be required to work a rotating three week roster; (with shifts from 6:30am - 3:00pm and 2:30pm - 11:00pm). This roster involves working two weekends in every three.

Desirable candidates would be studying or be qualified in social work, youth work, sport, art, teaching, psychology, music, Pacific studies, Maori or drama - however these qualifications are not essential and life experience will also be taken into account.

Computer skills are essential. A full, clean driver's licence is essential
