The role of Social Worker is varied and rewarding, and you’ll be part of a supportive team who are fully committed to achieving positive change for the children, young people and their families in this (diverse and vibrant) community.

As a Child, Youth and Family social worker, you’ll work with other social services, agencies and providers to ensure the needs of the child or young person and their family are fully met.
An NZQA certified degree in Social Work is preferred, with a minimum requirement of Level B or Level 6 Social Work qualification on the NZQA framework. The successful applicant will also be able to demonstrate:

In return, Child Youth and Family offers recognition, reward and the chance to excel on the job. There are ongoing training and development opportunities, regular formal supervision, and you will be working in a supportive environment.

If you think you have what it takes, and are totally committed to doing what’s right for children and young people, and helping them to grow up safe and strong, then we’d love to hear from you.

Child, Youth and Family, a service of the Ministry of Social Development (MSD), recognises and has a commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.
