We're looking for someone who shares this passion to join our Otago Urban Care & Protection team based at Dunedin Office

The role of Social Worker is varied and rewarding, and you'll be part of a supportive team who are fully committed to achieving positive change for the children, young people and their families in this (diverse and vibrant) community.

As a Child, Youth and Family social worker, you'll work with other social services, agencies and providers to ensure the needs of the child or young person and their family are fully met.

A social work qualification that is recognised by the social work registration board is required for this role. The successful applicant will also be able to demonstrate:

  • well developed interpersonal skills
  • excellent written and oral communication skills
  • proven ability to work in culturally appropriate ways
  • an ability to exercise sound judgment in challenging situations
  • resilience
  • good computer skills
  • a current drivers license
  • effective planning and time management skills
