Description
We are seeking Support Workers / Mentors with primary school teaching experience to work with an 8 year old child with complex needs and interrupted education. During the rest of the school year you will help settle her into a structured educational routine. Initially this will be using correspondence school material within her home along with a range of external activities. Later you will participate in her transition to mainstream schooling. These positions will operate from 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday.
The right people for these roles will have experience in working with children who have challenging behaviours within an educational context and will be able to provide a firm, consistent and calm environment with a genuinely caring approach.
