Tea Attendant (Part Time)

Description:

We are seeking a Tea Attendant who can provide an efficient, high quality service to CYF Grey Lynn Office ensuring that all staff have ready access to full tea facilities. This is a Casual position requiring approximately 4 hours of work per day during the work week.  The successful candidate will ensure that kitchens, benches, tables and equipment (fridges, ovens, sandwich makers and microwaves) on all levels are cleaned on a regular basis and maintained to Health & Safety Hygiene Regulations.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning all kitchen areas daily
  • Wiping down all surfaces and tables
  • Emptying and loading the dishwashers
  • Hand washing dishes in kitchens where there is no dishwasher
  • Providing clean dishcloths and tea towels to all tea stations
  • Cleaning microwaves and sandwich makers once a week
  • Cleaning all fridges and ovens once a week
  • Defrosting and cleaning all freezers six monthly
  • Ensuring that tea, coffee and cleaning supplies are stocked
  • Informing Support/Receptionist staff when to order supplies
  • Keeping records of stock in kitchens
  • From time-to-time collecting crockery/cutlery from staff desks and returning to kitchens
  • Monitoring stocks of supplies in all kitchens several times a day
  • Ensuring that sufficient milk is purchased to supply all kitchens
  • Monitoring milk usage to ensure there is limited wastage and sufficient supplies
  • Help set up trolleys for meetings/functions
  • Undertaking any other duties (within capability) as directed in order to contribute to the smooth running of tea services for the Grey Lynn building.
