Professional Services Team Leader

Description:

We are looking for a Team Leader based in the Waitemata Service Centre to provide leadership to and management of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Quality Assurance, Care, Community Liaison and Caregiver Liaison Social Work teams. This position is a 12 month secondment.

You will be part of the Service Centre Management Team and also work closely with other Professional Team Leaders to ensure a consistent approach across Service Centres, the Region and Nationally.

The successful applicant must have a relevant Social Work qualification and be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Proven people management / leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas and data to a range of audiences
  • Excellent knowledge of statutory Social Work and a good understanding of the social services environment
  • Experience in Social Work quality assurance and risk management practice
  • Ability to collaborate with others to achieve mutually agreed goals
  • Highly developed organisational skills and ability to ensure timely delivery of services
  • A commitment towards positive outcomes for children, young people and their families
  • Cultural sensitivity
  • High level computer and keyboard skills
  • Current driver’s licence (Automatic / Manual)
