Description:
Applications are invited for the full time position based at the Invercargill office.
The ideal applicant should hold a Diploma or Bachelor of Social Work qualification (Level B), or similar qualification or experience. Knowledge on the Children, Young Persons and Their Families Act 1989 is required.
You must be able to demonstrate superior skill in facilitation, mediation, negotiation and networking. You must be energetic, motivated and able to work flexible hours.
You will also need to demonstrate proven ability to work in culturally appropriate ways particularly with children, young people and their families where care and protection has been an issue.
It would be an advantage to show successful experience in engaging and working with Maori whanau.
The key task will be to convene facilitate and record agreed Family Group Conference outcomes within a timeframe.
