Papakura office is currently seeking applications for social workers to join our very busy team. The role of a statutory social worker is to work with families and other organisations, to protect children and/or to ensure care and security for children who are in the care of Child Youth and Family.

The preferred applicants will hold a minimum of Level 6 qualification on the NZQA framework.

The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate:

• Level 6 Social Work qualification on the NZQA framework (BSW and MSW degrees are an advantage).
• Knowledge of current care and protection processes
• Well developed interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Culturally aware, sensitive to other people and their surroundings, with the ability to manage self and workload, and be a committed team member.
• Knowledge of Tikanga Maori and Pacific Island culture an advantage.
• Ability to work cross culturally.
• Ability to work effectively with clients to achieve positive outcomes.
• Good computer skills.

A current manual full driver’s licence is necessary.
