REDUCING YOUTH OFFENDING PROGRAMME

Need a change? Need a new challenge? Then we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are looking for five Intensive Therapy Caseworkers to join our Reducing Youth Offending Programme based in Otara, Auckland. The team receive referrals from all Auckland Metropolitan sites, and works across the whole of the Auckland area.

Our Intensive Therapy Caseworkers delivery therapeutic intervention services as set out within a Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST) framework to youth offenders and their families/whanau.

You will be highly motivated and have an understanding of the delivery of MST. Knowledge of other behavioural theories and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy interventions and an understanding of pragmatic family therapy is also an advantage. This job involves personal delivery of an intensive intervention programme using MST, cultural responsiveness and self management.

You will be enthusiastic, committed and have proven ability and experience working with young offenders and their families particularly in the justice or social services sector.  Experience working with Maori and Pacific peoples would also be advantageous. The position will also require a flexible schedule involving an on-call rotation as the service needs to able to respond 24/7.
