Applications are invited for full time fixed term Social Worker position in our Alexandra office.

The role of a statutory Social Worker is to work with families and other organisations, to protect children and/or to ensure care and security for children in the care or custody of Child, Youth and Family.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

• A level B or level 6 Social Work qualification on the NZQA framework or other relevant tertiary qualifications with emphasis on Social Work (BSW and MSW degrees are an advantage)
• The ability to work effectively with clients to achieve positive outcomes
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Cultural awareness, sensitivity to other people and their surroundings, and the ability to work cross culturally.
• The ability to competently manage self and workload, and be a committed team member.
• Good computer skills
• A current drivers licence (Manual/automatic)
