Applications are invited for a permanent full-time Social Worker position in our busy and vibrant team at the Grey Lynn office. The work is varied and rewarding and would appeal to any person who has a special interest in the area of adoptions and who enjoys working directly with people from a large variety of cultures in an innovative and dynamic manner.  

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

• A level B or level 6 Social Work qualification on the NZQA framework
• Some experience in area of social work or social services preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Be culturally aware, sensitive to other people and their surroundings with the ability to competently manage self and workload, and be a committed team member
• Maori or Pacific Island knowledge/awareness an advantage
• An ability to work cross culturally
• Ability to work effectively with clients to achieve positive outcomes
• Good computer skills
• A current drivers licence (Manual/automatic)
