Working together to keep children and young people safe
By working closely with our partners in the community, we can achieve so much more to make sure children and young people are safe, strong and thriving.
Working together workshops
Working together workshops are a partnership between Child, Youth and Family and Child Matters (formerly known as CPS), a well recognised child protection training organisation.
Each workshop is hosted by a Child, Youth and Family site manager, who brings together local teachers, health professionals and social service providers to learn about what to look out for, and ways to help the children and families they are worried about.
The workshops offer a fantastic opportunity to build and strengthen local child protection networks.
A schedule of workshops is below. If you have any queries, or would like to register your interest in attending a workshop, please contact your local Child, Youth and Family site manager on 0508 FAMILY (0508 326 459
'Working together - to keep children and young people safe'
This guide is a great resource for teachers, health professionals, social service providers, or anyone working with families and children. It helps people recognise when families are vulnerable and how they can help, through to spotting the signs of abuse, who to talk to, how to report their concerns, and what happens when a report of concern comes through to Child, Youth and Family.
